Shipping Methods

Domestic Shipping
All units are F.O.B (freight on board) from APEX’s or a partners warehouse. (Most items ship directly from our Southern California location.) Large objects such as wood cabinets and wine racks generally ship freight collect, meaning customers will pay the shipping company directly for the freight fee. For metal cabinets, wine cooling units and accessories, Vinotemp generally charges a prepaid fee to be paid at time of order. Small units (under 100 bottles) are shipped by varied carriers.

Sorry, APEX is not able to deliver to a P.O. Box.

Shipping to Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico, APO/FPO bases and International Locations
Products shipped outside the 48 contiguous states (including AK, HI, PR and APO/FPO addresses) require additional shipping charges. Charges are for the product(s) ordered, plus shipping and handling only, and do not include any duties, taxes, and/or customs-related charges that may be due upon delivery. For delivery to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, APO/FPO and international locations, please call 1.888.808.3742 for specific rates and shipping methods. APEX will crate units for export for an additional fee.

International Note: Some countries may require various types of licenses or other documentation fees. APEX will not be held responsible for international orders that never make it past your customs office. Please verify with your customs office before placing your order. No refunds will be given for items that are seized by your local customs agents. Please contact APEX directly to inquire about international orders.

Installation/Delivery Details
For wood cabinets, we recommend the use of a furniture/van line company to uncrate and place unit in the desired location. Installation is limited. Stairs and hard to access locations will likely incur additional fees.

Return Policy

We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. To eliminate any errors in the ordering process, we incorporate a 2nd approval/authorization of all custom or high dollar value orders before your order is placed. All sales are final, and unless authorized in writing by the Seller, Purchaser may not return the goods, under any circumstance. If Purchaser refuses to accept the goods, under any circumstance, the Purchaser is liable for the return and cost of freight both ways, and if Seller does take back the goods, there will be a restocking charge that is 35% of the purchase price of the goods. Custom cabinets and racking are non returnable. Purchaser must notify Seller of non-conforming goods within four days of delivery, after which time all goods are deemed accepted. If an order has been placed and production has started, cancellation of your order will be a 15% charge.

Shipping Times

For Items Purchased from APEXWineCellars.com
We offer three shipping methods for most items:
  • Standard Shipping (3 to 7 business days)
  • 2- to 3-Day Shipping (2 to 3 business days)
  • 1-Day Shipping (1 business day)
Some items can also be shipped using:
  • Site to Store (7 to 10 business days)
  • Site to Store Express (3-5 business days)
The Site to Store logo will appear in the buying options table on the product details page if the item is eligible for this method.

Please note: Shipping times do not include processing time (most in stock items generally take 1-2 days to process).

Heavy or Oversize Items

Shipping time: Oversize items will be shipped by a freight company. They will arrive approximately 7 to 14 business days after leaving the warehouse.

Delivery process: The freight company (or APEX itself) will contact you in advance to schedule a delivery date and time. Certain items include delivery into your home, but for most freight deliveries, the item will be left at the curbside of your address. We recommend that you have at least one other person available to help you move your item to its final location.

Before you sign for the delivery, please inspect the package for any damage that may have occurred during transit. It is normal for the package to show some wear. However, if there is significant visible damage to the package contents, refuse delivery of the order and contact us. Please have your order number available.

Delivery of oversize items to locations beyond street addresses in the 48 contiguous states (including Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and international locations) may have different delivery methods, costs and procedures.

Perishable Items

Perishable items cannot be returned by mail. If you receive a damaged or defective perishable item, please email the following information to APEX Customer Service:
  • Order number for the item
  • Date of arrival
  • Condition of item at time of arrival
  • Detailed explanation of the issue

Free or Discounted Shipping Specials

Certain items are sometimes offered with a special shipping rates, such as Free Shipping specials, subject to the following terms:
  • Free or Discounted Shipping only applies to Standard Shipping
  • Offer not available for deliveries to Alaska, Hawaii, APO / FPO addresses, or locations outside of the United States
